Sunday Services
There are two Sunday services at St. Peter’s, at 10.45am and 6.30pm. The styles vary, with a mixture of more formal and contemporary worship styles.
Morning
At 10.45 we have a crèche and groups for children, who leave after being in the service for a while. About once a month the children stay in for most, or all, of the service. On two Sundays each month we celebrate Holy Communion in the morning.
Evening
We have a varied programme with Alpha Café in church on the 2nd and 4th Sunday in the month, where there is coffee and cake, the worship is informal, and with speakers on a range of topics with discussion.
On the other Sundays we are experimenting with all sorts of ideas, see below for the evening programme, (all events in St. Peter’s unless stated otherwise):
Midweek Services
There is a simple communion service at 1.10pm each Tuesday lunchtime, lasting for half an hour – an ideal opportunity to take enjoy some time for quiet and reflection in the midst of a busy day at work, or to take a break from shopping to come and pray. On Fridays, we hold an ecumenical service at 12:30pm, to which all are invited.
